Bert Feuz
Born and raised in Jackson, Bert Feuz had a life full of cattle ranching, hunting/outfitting, horses, and skiing. During his ranching career he designed and constructed numerous buildings, structures, and agricultural machines. It was through this he discovered his enjoyment of the creative process.
In 1994, Bert Feuz became "reinvented" and concentrated on designing and constructing furniture pieces using woods and nature's forms. He particularly became interested in working with 100 year old (and older) oak barn wood. Feuz works with the natural beauty that is created in the wood such as knots and voids. "This presents a wonderful challenge to the natural artist to create with it," he says.
Bert uses time-honored craftsman's methods to construct his pieces. Nearly all of the pieces are constructed without benefit of nail or screw.
